Our Vision
To become a global media leader focused on telling stories of hope and inspiration that bring people
closer to Christ and the Catholic faith.
Our Values
Salt + Light is dedicated to being – and helping others become – the salt of the earth and the
light of the world. Utilizing the power and popularity of television, radio, internet and other social
communication media, the fruits of our work represent a powerful response to Pope John Paul II’s call
to embrace technology to share the Gospel message and teachings of the Church. We are determined
to bring light to our world through mass and modern media.
Salt + Light products serve as a place of retreat and faith connection. With a strong focus on the
teachings of the Church, we believe in bringing people together in prayer and devotion, celebration,
education and entertainment. We are dedicated to offering programs that are thought-provoking,
refreshing, and always rooted in our Catholic faith.
The ministry of Salt + Light would not exist today were it
not for the spiritual and financial support of St. Joseph
Communications founder Gaetano Gagliano. Read more...

available at a low monthly cost on various cable and satellite carriers in Canada and
throughout the world via online streaming and on-demand videos.
Documentaries
Salt + Light is regarded as a unique story teller of issues that are important to
society. Since our first documentary, Love is a Choice, launched in 2004, we have
built up an impressive library of award-winning documentary productions.
Production Services
Since 2007, we have offered our services as a production house to various groups in
need of promotional videos and regularly provide this sought-after service.
Salt + Light specializes in: video production; script writing; shooting; editing and
packaging.
Radio
Beginning in 2009, Salt + Light made a move to radio. Thanks to the invitation of the Catholic Channel on satellite radio, Salt + Light began producing the S+L Radio Hour, a weekly one-hour long radio show, featuring interviews, music, news updates, and event listings.
In 2012, we launched the very first 24/7 online Catholic English music radio station available through our website, saltandlighttv.org/radio and various applications for computers and mobile devices.
Salt + Light Magazine
A high-quality seasonal publication that is widely distributed across Canada. Written in both English and French, the publication features guest columns, in-depth features and highlights from Salt + Light programs and initiatives. It is offered to donors without charge. Salt and Light Magazine is also made available to parishes and Church groups for a small donation.
