Kristen Carey
Associate Director, Development and Donor Relations
Born and raised in London, Ontario, Kristen attended the Monsignor Feeney Choir School before moving with her family to Toronto as a young teen. In Toronto she attended Michael Power/St. Joseph’s Catholic Secondary School and continued her education at Ryerson University where she studied and graduated with a Degree in Applied Arts - Interior Design in 1994.

After graduating from Ryerson, Kristen joined the Archdiocese of Toronto in the Office of Spirituals Affairs and furthered her education by taking courses in Canon Law and Pastoral Counselling at the Toronto School of Theology. Later she went back to Ryerson to study Public Relations and moved to the Office of Public Relations and Communications. Already a key player in organizing large Archdiocesan events, Kristen joined the ShareLife and Development Office where she organized The Annual Cardinal’s Dinner, and coordinated the international aid programs of the Mission Cooperative Program and the Pastoral Mission Fund.

After working for the Archdiocese of Toronto for over 25 years, working with the laity, religious, clergy, parishes, Dioceses and Bishops from around the world, Kristen joins Salt and Light Catholic Media Foundation as Associate Director of Development and Donor Relations where she will continue work with and support her faith community.
