Alicia Ambrosio Alicia joined the creative at Salt+Light in March of 2008. Originally from Vancouver, Alicia has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Simon Fraser University in B.C. and a Masters in Journalism from the Pontifical Salesian University in Rome, Italy. She lived in Rome for three years from 2004 to 2007 while studying for her Masters. During that time Alicia worked with Catholic News Service’s Rome bureau as a Vatican correspondent. Alicia returned home to Canada in 2007 and worked with Canadian Catholic newspapers before deciding to make the leap into television. Alicia brings with her an interest in all things Vatican, global current affairs, and social justice issues. She also searches for stories about the different ways people live their faith and she believes hearing others faith stories can give hope and feed the soul. Alicia can be seen on Zoom several times a week. She also hosts Catholic Focus, Salt+Light’s current affairs series, and has produced Catholic Focus episodes looking at Catholic Media, the issues surrounding the HPV Vaccine in Catholic schools, Catechesis for special needs children, and ecumenism. Alicia speaks English, Italian and Spanish and has been exposed to different ethnic communities her whole life. The result is she likes working on projects the highlight the contributions of different ethnic communities to the Church and to society. Alicia is originally from Vancouver, B.C.
