From September 14 to 16, Pope Benedict travelled to Lebanon. This marks the Pope's first trip to the region since the beginning of the Arab Spring, which has erupted into a civil war in neighbouring Syria. In Beirut, the Holy Father will present his highly-anticipated conclusions from the 2010 Synod of Bishops on the Middle East.
