ordinationsWith the busy schedule this past week -- Pope Benedict in the Holy Land, the March for Life -- we forgot to mention some very important happenings in our Salt + Light Family.
Chris Valka, CSB, who many of you may recognize from his contributions to our Focus programming, work in the Mission to the U.N. documentray, and who was also heavily involved behind the scenes at WYD in Australia, was ordained to the priesthood. Morgan Rice, CSB, another alumni of WYD Australia, was ordained to the diaconate. The ordinations took place on May 9th in Houston, Texas, and Salt + Light was represented by our CEO, Fr. Thomas Rosica, CSB, Sebastien Lacroix, and our three Australian interns Joshua Lanzarini, James Lucas, and Therese Nichols. Sebastien described it as a wonderful occasion, the Aussies were delighted to see their old buddies (and bask in some warmer weather!), and Fr. Tom was beaming like a proud papa! Congratulations to the both of you, we will keep you in our prayers as you begin your ministries!

Speaking of proud papas... on May 10th, appropriate to Mother's Day, Marc and Nola Boudignon welcomed a baby girl into their family. Born at 3:20pm in the afternoon Baby Imogen weighed in at 5lbs 13oz and 17 inches long. She was a little early, but her and Mom are doing great! Marc's face may not be familiar to our viewers, but his name is -- working behind the scenes as an editor he has used his talents brilliantly in many of our Salt + Light productions including Beloved, Road of Hope, Turning the Tide, Mothering, Full of Grace, Opus Dei: Decoding God's Work, and countless other programs. We couldn't be happier for you Marc and Nola -- congratulations and prayers!
