I came across this CNS file photo of Pope Paul VI and Cardinal Karol Wojtyla in my research for our new series The Church Alive. The photo’s description reads, “Paul VI, who served in Poland during his early priesthood, held the future Pope John Paul II in high regard.” This certainly rings true. Both these men embody the spirit of the Second Vatican Council and New Evangelization. If you haven’t already, I highly recommend you read Pope Paul VI’s Apostolic Exhortation Evangelii Nuntiandi. Its essential reading for all those who want to know how to evangelize in the modern world.
