On today's Zoomcast I interview Rob Astorino, the program director for The Catholic Channel on Sirius Radio. In his own words The Catholic Channel is talk radio by "average Catholics" for "average Catholics." Astorino said he sees it as a way to bring the church to those who go to Mass, live the faith, but maybe haven't had a chance to explore all the aspects of this faith of ours, or this Church of ours. The Catholic Channel was a unique partnership between Sirius radio and the Archdiocese of New York. In fact, Astorino himself hosts a one hour, weekly conversation with Cardinal Archibishop Edward Egan of New York.
To find out more about The Catholic Channel, the various programs is airs, and how you can tune into the channel, visit http://siriuscanada.ca/en/channels/channel_view.aspx?ID=159.
Hopefully one day soon The Catholic Channel will be able to offer a conversation with a Canadian Bishop, eh.
