The Vatican.
The name alone invokes the mystery and pageantry of the Catholic Church.
It’s the headquarters of a two-thousand-year-old institution and a closely guarded city-state.
The inner workings of this ancient institution are vast with only a few insiders that truly have access to what’s going on behind the scenes and why.
Vatican Connections brings you into the world of the Vatican by presenting you with the latest news and behind-the-scenes stories from the source.
Since last week, there’s been a lot going on. Here are just a few of the stories that we bring to you tonight’s episode.
  1. For the second year in a row, the Pope walks over to a mobile health clinic to make a surprise visit to the doctors and nurses. A few days later, he has lunch with over 1500 homeless people. Why you wonder? Well, you aren’t the only one.
  2. The prestigious Ratzinger prize, was awarded to 2 special people at the vatican over the weekend. Who were they? what they recieved it for?, and what exactly is the Ratzinger award you might wonder.
  3. The Pope is off to Morocco in March, AND, it’s certainly NOT for a sun-filled vacation, I can tell you that. I have for you the reason for the trip, and also some interesting insights into the last papal visit to that country, 34 years ago.
The answers to those questions and more are on this episode of Vatican Connections.
