Salt + Light Travels to Edmonton for Nothing More Beautiful

December 11, 2008
archbishoprichardsmith.jpgThis blog is coming to you from chilly Edmonton (to be quite honest, it's very pleasant here, and it's actually been colder in Toronto recently... welcome to winter!). I'm here with Salt + Light cameraman Wally Tello to film a new project by the Archdiocese of Edmonton called Nothing More Beautiful.
Nothing More Beautiful is a five-year initiative launched by Archbishop Richard Smith that will provide the faithful the opportunity to renew their relationship with Christ. The first event will be held Friday, December 12th, at 7pm at Edmonton's St. Joseph's Basilica. The theme is In the Image and Likeness of God. Archbishop Smith will provide a catechetical talk and Canadian Organization for Life and Family's Lea Singh will provide a witness talk. If you're in the Edmonton area, be sure to come by. You can read more about Nothing More Beautiful HERE.
As I said, Salt + Light will be filming the event, and will be broadcasting it the following week, Friday December 19 at 8pm ET and Saturday December 20th at 12:30pm ET. Salt + Light has just recently launched out west on Shaw cable (channel 160 on Shaw in Alberta), and we're very excited to be on site covering western Canadian events and, with the Archdiocese of Edmonton, bringing you this series!
