Mark Palm Sunday with Benedict and the Benedictines

April 16, 2011
As we enter into Holy Week with Palm Sunday, Salt + Light has programming you will not want to miss.
On April 17th, there's Pope Benedict XVI's celebration of Palm Sunday from St Peter’s Square. This includes the blessing and procession of palm branches and Holy Mass. Our broadcast with English translation begins at 9:30am ET / 6:30am PT.
That evening, at 8:00pm ET/9:00pm PT, Fr. Thomas Rosica welcomes to Witness Maria Voce. She's the president of the Focolare Movement, and the successor to foundress Chiara Lubich.
We round out Palm Sunday with our broadcast premiere of This Side of Eden at 8:30pm ET/9:30pm PT. As we've told you over the last few weeks, This Side of Eden follows the Benedictine monks of Westminster Abbey in Mission, British Columbia in the days of Holy Week and the Easter Triduum.
Many thanks to the close to 500 people gathered in Toronto on Tuesday for a public screening of This Side of Eden at the Isabel Bader Theatre. It was a great evening and wonderful to share Eden with our viewers in a big screen form! See some of the pictures on our S+L Facebook album here.
