Across the Divide: Meet the Writer
May 31, 2012
Across the Divide takes viewers to Bethlehem University, the only Catholic university in the Holy Land. Throughout its history, the campus has been caught in the crossfire of the ongoing conflict. In the first of our series of behind the scenes interviews, we hear from the documentary's writer/co-director, Kris Dmytrenko (who you might already recognize as a host on S+L). Kris explains the challenges of addressing the Israeli-Palestinian conflict -- an explosive topic that is bound to cause controversy.
The world premiere of this new documentary takes place in Vancouver on Sunday, June 3 at 7:15pm. The film will be screened at the Djavad Mowafaghian Cinema at the SFU Goldcorp Centre for the Arts. This special event includes a panel discussion with Archbishop Michael Miller of Vancouver, Carl Hetu from CNEWA Canada, Br. Jack Curran from Bethlehem University, and S+L's Fr. Thomas Rosica. Visit the Across the Divide webpage to reserve your tickets. Seating is limited.
