CCCB Plenary Assembly: Day 1

September 24, 2012
The eighty Bishops from across Canada who have gathered in Saint-Adele, Quebec for the annual plenary assembly, will spend the week evaluating their Ecumenical collaboration, helping their chosen delegates prepare for the Synod of Bishops on the New Evangelization,  preparing for the the Year of Faith, and the canonization of Kateri Tekakwitha.
In his address to the bishops, Archbishop Richard Smith told the assembly October 28th will be declared a national Day of Awareness and Gratitude for the role of the First Nations in the Canadian Church.
Salt + Light TV is providing live coverage of the plenary assembly. We will also be posting the texts of Archbishop Smith's report, and other updates, right here on our Blog.
