It is always amazing how Jesus speaks to us through the hearts of children. Watch The Good Shepherd and walk with Jesus, the Good Shepherd, from the Last Supper, his arrest, passion and crucifixion, with the help of the imagination and words of children.
The Good Shepherd was made in partnership with the Office of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd of the Archdiocese of Toronto.
The Good Shepherd Catechesis is an approach to the religious formation/development of children from birth through adolescence. The Good Shepherd Catechesis highlights essential aspects of the Christian message that nurture the child’s need to love and be loved and the child’s capacity to enjoy God’s presence in her/his life. It is rooted in the Bible, the liturgy of the Church, and the educational principles of Maria Montessori.
The Good Shepherd was made with home-schooled children and filmed at the Mary Help of Christians Atrium at Blessed Trinity Parish, Toronto. Special thanks to the Atrium at Sr. Carmelina's Preschool Academy, Woodbridge, for the use of their materials.
