On The Eve of The Popes Voyage to Bangladesh, He Sends This Message - Perspectives Daily

November 21, 2017
Next week, the Pope embarks on a historic six day journey to Myanmar and Bangladesh and earlier today, he sent a video message of greetings to the people of Bangladesh as he prepares to visit that nation from November 30th to December 2nd. His visit to Bangladesh comes as the second leg of a journey that also takes him first to Myanmar from November 27 to 30. I have that video message for you now.
Earlier this week, the Pope also sent a message to the people of Myanmar where he expressed his wishes, to encourage every effort to construct harmony and cooperation in service of the common good. “I am coming to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ" the Pope said, "a message of reconciliation, forgiveness, and peace”.
We will be broadcasting the event of the Pope’s trip next week so be sure to keep your eye on our website for upcoming details.
To the US now where more than 20,000 Catholic teenagers from across the United States gathered in Indianapolis for the National Catholic Youth Conference to celebrate Jesus and to better understand how they can play a part in the Church. Our friends at CNS were at the event and hwave some highlights from that event for you now.
And speaking of youth festivals, planning for World Youth Day 2019 in Panama is well on the way. Organizers of the event have an update for you in the latest World Youth Day minute.
Thatis all that we have time for today. Join us again tomorrow when I bring you news and stories from the Perspective of a Catholic lens.
