Catholic Focus   Living the Gospel in the Heart of the World

Thursday, September 13, 2012 - Host: Joseph Goski
Although present in numerous countries throughout the world, living as a member of a Secular Institute remains one of the least understood forms of consecrated life in the Catholic Church. Members of these institutes have one simple purpose: to live their consecrated lives in the same conditions as other laymen and laywomen. Like leaven, they invisibly transform society from the inside out through the values of the Gospel.
2012 marks the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Oblate Missionaries of Mary-Immaculate, a Secular Institute founded on Canadian soil and established in many countries across the globe. During this edition of Catholic Focus, we relive the celebrations for this important anniversary and we explore more deeply the life and mission of members of the Oblate Missionaries of Mary-Immaculate.
