Two Salt + Light Documentaries Recognized at 2009 Niepokalanów Film Festival
Toronto, May 29, 2009 – Salt + Light Television was recently recognized by the Niepokalanów film festival in Poland for two of their latest documentary productions
In the category for best documentary, Salt + Light Television productions were awarded second place for the documentary; Hand of Peace, Pope Pius XII and the Holocaust directed by David Naglieri, a film which looks at the difficult choices Pope Pius XII faced during the Nazi Holocaust.
Salt + Light Television also received special recognition for their film Road of Hope: The Spiritual Journey of Cardinal Van Thuan from Niepokalanów’s patron; Cardinal Jozef Glemp, Primate of Poland.
The 24th International Catholic Films and Multimedia Festival "Niepokalanów 2009" took place from May 15-17 in Niepokalanów. In total there were 179 films, 47 radio programs, 35 multimedia programs, from 21 countries that entered the International Catholic Films and Multimedia Festival.
