Salt + Light Radio celebrates milestone 100th episode

Toronto, February 25, 2011 – Salt + Light Radio will broadcast its 100th episode on Saturday, February 26. The program, which first aired in January 2009, is part of the media ministry of Salt and Light Catholic Media Foundation and is available on the Catholic Channel, Sirius Satellite Radio 159 and XM Radio 117 (10pm ET).

Former Cardinal Archbishop Edward Egan of New York City met with Fr. Thomas Rosica, CEO of Salt + Light Television nearly four years ago and earnestly invited Fr. Rosica to share the wonderful programming of Salt + Light with wide satellite radio audience.

“We were very happy to accept this invitation and our collaboration with the Catholic Channel has been excellent,” said Father Thomas Rosica, CEO of Salt and Light Catholic Media Foundation. “Under the leadership of New York's new Archbishop Timothy Dolan, we continue to provide quality programming to the Catholic Channel and look forward to much more collaboration in the future.”

With host Pedro Guevara Mann, Salt + Light Radio has offered listeners - more than 5,000 a week - inspiring messages, insightful interviews, interesting commentary and music plus news updates with Kris Dmytrenko and Catholic events listings with Mary Rose Bacani.

Salt + Light Radio started from a small idea and with limited resources has become the leading Canadian Catholic audio program and podcast that offers quality music and interviews with artists and other notable personalities. Over this two-year period Salt + Light Radio has played host to a number of artists like: John Michael Talbot, Matt Maher, Sarah Hart, Steve Angrisano, Jesse Manibusan, Critical Mass, Susan Hookong-Taylor, Janelle and Chris Bray.
