The Catholic Women’s League: For God and Canada
You have probably seen these women in action in almost every parish, but it is time to discover who they really are. The women of The Catholic Women’s League of Canada are women who have put their God-given talents at the service of the Catholic Church and their country. Since 1920, this organization of close to 100,000 women have been praying together, doing charitable works, marching in defense of life, and fighting for issues of concern for all Canadians. Above all, they have been holding each other’s hand in the journey of life and faith. As one of them put it, “We laugh because laughter is indeed God’s gift. We cry because we feel another’s pain. We use our talents because we must. We make a difference because we can.”
