Pope Francis’ Apostolic Journey to Thailand and Japan
From November 19 to 26, Pope Francis will make his 32nd overseas apostolic voyage to Thailand and Japan.
The visit to Thailand commemorates the 350th anniversary of the Vatican mission to Siam (1669). Following his time in Bangkok, the pope travels to Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and Tokyo under the theme “Protect All Life”.
In keeping with the pro-life theme, Francis will mark the anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki by preaching peace and presiding over several Masses. He will also visit the Tohoku region, still recovering eight years later from the “triple disaster” of earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear meltdown.
Join the Holy Father on his travels by tuning in to Salt + Light TV.
