CNS Vatican Report: The Pope's Trip to Malta

Matthew Harrison

Thursday, April 22, 2010

At this week's general audience Pope Benedict XVI discussed his Apostolic Journey to Malta.  The Holy Father recounted the events he participated in over the two-days, including his moving meeting with abuse victims: "I shared with them their suffering and, overwhelmed, I prayed with them, assuring them of the Church's action." He also highlighted the Catholic roots of the country and noted the challenges of the future.  If you're unable to see Salt + Light's weekly presentation of the General Audience with English translation (every Thursday at 3:30pm and 9:30pm ET), you may want to check out what the Holy Father said HERE.
For a wrap up on the Malta trip, check out Catholic News Service's Vatican Report, where Carol Glatz (who viewers may remember joined us from Malta for our live coverage) and John Thavis discuss the Holy Father's first Apostolic Journey of 2010.
