Lenten Minutes: 40 Days

Salt + Light Media

Tuesday, February 27, 2018

Lent is a time where we take a step back, and separate ourselves from certain elements in our lives that cause distraction. It's a time to focus on self reflection and penance; allowing one to feel closer to Jesus. But... why is Lent 40 days? Throughout this season, we can sometimes loose track of basic questions such as these. We focus much of our time trying to resist temptation, keep resolutions, and increase time spent on praying, fasting, and almsgiving.
Although these are all very important components of Lent, we need to make sure we don't forget about the little things! That's why Salt + Light is bringing you a new, short series called 'Lenten Minutes' where we encourage you to take a minute from your day to day lives, and reflect on some of the simpler, but equally as important questions, that together help create the base of this Holy Season.
