On Friday, May 14, two Salt + Light team members arrived in Nashville, Tennessee to attend Springfest 2010, a wonderful initiative from within the Archdiocese of Nashville. From the moment we landed to our point of departure, as well as throughout the day-long festival, people treated us like true brothers and sisters. We met people who are charitable, friendly and faithful. We prayed alongside inspired and inspiring artists, religious leaders and professionals including Pierluigi Molla, son of St. Gianna Beretta Molla (one of Salt+Light’s patron saints), Vancouver Archbishop Michael Miller, the Most Reverend Celestino Migliore, Apostolic Nuncio of the Holy See to the UN, performer Julia Abueva from the Philippines and Delia Gallagher, a renowned journalist and author.
This trip, and the welcome we received, has helped us reaffirm our desire to secure a signal for our television network, Salt + Light Television, in the United States. Currently, Americans can view our programs online (on demand or live) or thanks to our relationships with Catholic TV or EWTN, people in select markets are already able to watch some of our programs. But we know that Americans want access to all of our programs. To achieve this, we must convince cable carriers to carry our signal. If you want us in your community, please call your cable carrier today and ask them for S+L Television…and join us in prayer.
