PHOTO OF BLESSED JOHN PAUL II AS POPE BENEDICT LEADS ANGELUS AT SUMMER RESIDENCE
Are you called Carlo? My first name is also Carlo, and so we belong to the same family, the family of all those whose name is Carlo. But did you work to build this church? You did? I imagine you worked very hard. But I tell you that you are still building this church. Because a church is not built with bricks alone; it is also primarily built with living rocks. The living rocks are all those who have been baptized. You have been baptized and therefore you too are living rocks. With these living rocks we build a living Church, the Church inhabited by the Holy Spirit, the Church of Christ. I hope that you children will build the Church more and more, with your catechism, with your Christian behaviour. You are the future, you are the future of the fatherland, of the Church, and of this parish for which we are today erecting a church. I thank you.
