Mr. Laprise, who has acted as director of communications for the Archdiocese of Gatineau for the past 21 years, is a seasoned professional in Church communications. In 2001 and 2002, he worked for the organizing committee of World Youth Day Toronto. He will assume a very important role at the CCCB, one that deserves our support -- that of bridging the bishops and various external audience groups, including and especially media. We wish him the best and assure him of our prayers and extend the same to Ms. Christine Choury, who was the director for the last year and half, as she begins new employment outside of the Conference.
