Thank you Ontario State Council

Daniel Torchia

Monday, November 8, 2010

The Ontario State Council - Knights of Columbus recently presented a cheque for $5,000 to Salt and Light Catholic Media Foundation. We are very grateful to Arthur Peters and the Knights all over North America who give so generously of themselves - and financially too. They know that every dollar and every bit of energy devoted to service of the Lord and to each other yields immeasurable fruit.
We are happy to report that an increasing number of people are donating to our registered charity. The number of persons who have donated to Salt + Light in the first 10 months of 2010 is greater than the total for 2009. Thank you.
Since 2003, the year Salt + Light was founded, we have maintained a 24/7 TV network, launched a radio program, developed popular web sites/initiatives, produced 37+ documentaries and issued a periodical newsletter, Lampstand. A lot of our work has been multilingual. We have learned, time and time again, that the fruits of our labour always outweigh its cost and obstacles.
We count on your continued prayers and support. Please inform others about S+L or consider additional financial contributions – however modest or significant. Having a presence and voice in mass media is not cheap, nor readily doled out to us. We must actively earn and pay for it, day in and day out.
On behalf of our staff, board and volunteers, I wish to thank you for your support – past, present or future, and pray that the generosity of the Knights of Columbus inspires all of us.
In friendship,
Daniel Torchia

What the CND sisters are looking forward to this Christmas

Tuesday, December 17, 2024

Maria Montemayor

I had the wonderful opportunity to meet with the CND sisters and enjoy a special lunch of soup, pizza, salad, and dessert. While I was there, I thought it would be a great opportunity to ask the sisters about what they were looking forward to this Christmas.
