The Knights of Columbus pay tribute to John Paul II

Cheridan Sanders

Wednesday, April 20, 2011

In anticipation of his May 1st beatification, the Knights of Columbus Museum is hosting a special exhibit on Pope John Paul II.
The show is titled Blessed: A Tribute to John Paul II.
It features personal effects of the late Pontiff, as well as mementos of his apostolic journeys to North America. Of particular interest, is a video presentation on the Pope’s close relationship with the Knights of Columbus.
Recently Salt + Light CEO Father Thomas Rosica CSB, had an opportunity to present two lectures as a part of the showing: The Great Laboratories of Faith: World Youth Days in the Pontificate of Pope John Paul II and The Suffering and Death of a Shepherd: What Pope John Paul II taught us in the end. The first focused on the tremendous social impact of World Youth Day, while the second reflected on the Pope's personal holiness.
Blessed: A Tribute to John Paul II runs from April 2 to June 30th . So in addition to taking in some of the beautiful parks in Connecticut, visit the Knights of Columbus museum and take a look at the personal effects of our newest blessed!
Visit the Knights of Columbus museum website for more information.
