This past Easter, Christians in Sri Lanka faced a terrible tragedy when three churches were the targets of terrorist violence. Two of those churches were Catholic.
On Saturday, October 26 at 9 pm ET / 6 pm PT, Salt + Light TV will air Stronger Than Bombs: Catholics in Sri Lanka After Terrorist Attacks, a documentary about Catholics in Sri Lanka who are rebuilding and recovering from the bombings on Easter Sunday that killed many and wounded the local Catholic community.
This documentary from Rome Reports conveys a profound message of hope. It attests the resilience of the people in the communities of the Shrine of St. Anthony and the Church of St. Sebastian who were affected by this tragedy. Rather than letting the attacks shake their faith, the people interviewed express forgiveness for the attackers and a renewed commitment to the Church, with faith that has been strengthened by the adversity they have experienced. We see people who have been deeply affected by the tragedy, but their inclination is not towards anger and revenge. It is towards forgiveness and peace.

Watch Stronger Than Bombs: Catholics in Sri Lanka After Terrorist Attacks this Saturday, October 26 at 9 pm ET / 6 pm PT on Salt + Light TV.

What the CND sisters are looking forward to this Christmas

Maria Montemayor

I had the wonderful opportunity to meet with the CND sisters and enjoy a special lunch of soup, pizza, salad, and dessert. While I was there, I thought it would be a great opportunity to ask the sisters about what they were looking forward to this Christmas.
