S+L CEO receives Diamond Jubilee Medal

Fr. Thomas Rosica, CSB was awarded a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal this past week. On June 23 Fr. Rosica was honoured along with 49 other people who are pillars of their communities and have contributed to making their community a better place.
The awarding of the Queen's medal is part of the celebrations for the 60th anniversary of her reign. Several other religious were also honoured with a Queen's Jubilee medal.  Fr. John Borean of Woodbridge was honoured for his work on several committees at the archdiocese which contributed to building up churches in various neighbourhoods.  Brother David Lynch of the Brothers of the Good Shepherd also received a medal. Brother Lynch is superior of the Brothers' community in Toronto and executive director of Good Shepherd Ministries, which runs a the Good Shepherd Centre and provides shelter, meals, rehabilitation and resettlement services as well as skills training for homeless people.  Sister Philomena Moolaseril was awarded a medal for her work with her community at the Villa Colombo nursing home.
Congratulations to Fr. Rosica and all the recipients of the Queen's Jubilee Medal.
