Associate Editors of The Jesuit Post Sam Sawyer, SJ (left) and Eric Sundrup, SJ (middle) have teamed up with Salt and Light's Sebastian Gomes (right) to create a new podcast that puts the Catholic faith in dialogue with modern culture.  The objective: to discuss serious issues affecting the church and the world... without taking themselves too seriously.
The idea for the show came about in the whirlwind of World Youth Day Rio, where The Jesuit Post and Salt and Light worked closely together to bring that unforgettable experience to the English speaking world via new media.  Many evenings after the press conferences (and sometimes over a few caipirinhas), they had the chance to discuss, debate, and most importantly to laugh about the big stories of the day.  Those conversations made them realize how much they enjoyed the chance to talk about current events in the church, and more broadly, the relationship between faith and culture.
And they didn’t want to leave the conversation trapped on “Popacabana” beach.  So here it is!  The first installment: a look back at WYD Rio and the impact of Pope Francis.  If this is something you'd want to listen to regularly, let them know!  Note: they are still looking for a name for the program, so if you've got an idea send it along:
