Today we continue with our coverage of the 2018 World Meeting of Families in Dublin. We had a chance to talk to several people and Church leaders on the ground about what their first impressions are and what they hope the pope’s message will be and what it’ll bring for the country of Ireland and families around the world.

  1. Cardinal Peter Turkson, the prefect of the Dicastery for the Promotion of Integral Human Development, about his overall expectations for this event.
  2. Cardinal Gérald Lacroix,  Archbishop of Quebec and Primate of Canada, about what message Canada can receive from this event.
  3. Bishop Lionel Gendron, President of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops, about why the CCCB is at the event and what they hope to bring back to Canada.
  4. Cardinal Blase Cupich, Archbishop of Chicago, on the challenges he believes families are facing today.
