Carlos Cheung\u2019s Reflection on the Chrism Mass<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"184\" data-end=\"318\">Today at the Chrism Mass in St. Peter\u2019s Basilica, where we renewed our priestly promises, two key points are worth our reflection.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"320\" data-end=\"712\"><strong>The first point comes from Saint Paul\u2019s reminder that we are \u201cstewards of the mysteries of God\u201d (1 Cor 4:1).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"320\" data-end=\"712\">This is not merely a duty, but a profound trust. We do not preach personal theories, but the faith of the Church, rooted in God\u2019s revelation. If our hearts are truly touched by the Word of God, then our preaching will carry power\u2014because we are not proclaiming ourselves, but Christ.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"714\" data-end=\"1154\"><strong>The second point is an expression that may seem outdated, yet remains essential: \u201czeal for souls\u201d (<em data-start=\"813\" data-end=\"829\">animarum zelus<\/em>).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"714\" data-end=\"1154\">As Christians\u2014and especially as Salesian priests\u2014we do not belong to ourselves, but entirely to God and His people. We care for the whole person\u2014not only their physical needs, but also the deepest longings of their souls.
