137th Knights of Columbus Supreme Convention

Founded by a humble parish priest in Connecticut in the late-19th century, the Knights of Columbus are one of the largest lay Catholic organizations in the world. There are nearly 2 million members today dedicated to helping others and present in 17 countries.

Each year, Knights from around the world gather to celebrate their faith and works of charity. Their charitable donations in the past year have increased to more than $185.7 million and have volunteered over 7 6.7 million hours. of hands-on service in 2018.

Opening Mass

The opening Mass will be presided by the host of this convention, Archbishop Bernard Hebda, Archbishop of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. He will also be the homilist and will be joined by hundreds of priests, bishops and cardinals, as well as Knights and their families.

Opening Business Session & Supreme Knight’s Report

Supreme Knight Carl Anderson will deliver his State of the Union address, and give updates on the past year and what the Knights of Columbus hope for their future.

States Dinner

An evening of festivities and celebration for the Knights and their families. The invocation will be made by Fr. Maurice Henry Sands, director of the Black and Indian Mission Office of the USCCB. Benediction will be made by Most Reverend William Lori, Archbishop of Baltimore, and Supreme Chaplain of the Knights of Columbus. The keynote speaker for this event is Cardinal Thomas Collins, Archbishop of Toronto.
