This Side of Eden
From the grand to the mundane, life at Westminster Abbey in Mission, B.C., is anything but ordinary. This Side of Eden presents a poetic, compelling and richly intimate portrait of the Benedictine Monks in the days of Holy Week and the Easter Triduum. Young and old, able and infirm, the subtle splendor of their lives is interwoven with the quiet majesty of the natural world that surrounds them. Stunningly photographed and thoughtfully told, this film offers a meditative glimpse into a unique way of life which is grounded on earth but lived looking beyond.

Witness - Fr. Gregory Kennedy, SJ
Fr. Greg Kennedy is a "green" member of the Society of Jesus, not just because of his recent priestly ordination, but also because of his very keen interest in a truly Catholic understanding of ecology and the environment. Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Greg Kennedy entered the Society of Jesus in 2006, having completed a doctorate in philosophy. His doctoral was all about trash and the modern knack for creating so much of it! Ordained to the priesthood on May 23, 2015, the day of Blessed Oscar Romero's beatification, Greg is living out the first months and years of his priesthood in Bogotá, Colombia, while completing a Masters in Theology at the Pontifical University Javeriana. Both academically and spiritually, Greg's main interest is human reconciliation with the rest of creation. No wonder why Greg is so happy with his elder Jesuit brother's landmark encyclical, "Laudato Sì." In this engaging interview with a young Jesuit priest, meet someone who strives to reconcile in his very person and vocation all that Pope Francis means in speaking about "integral ecology."

Perspectives: The Weekly Edition - A Common Date for Easter?
In May of 2014, Pope Tawadros II of the Coptic Orthodox Church sent a letter to Pope Francis. In it he expressed his desire to establish a single date for all Christian Churches to celebrate Easter. Since the 16th century the Catholic and Orthodox churches have used different calendars to calculate the Date of Easter. But in modern times as Christian persecution has become rampant in many parts of the world, Christians are seeing more of what they have—and should have—in common. Join us for a new episode of Perspectives: The Weekly Edition with guest host Sebastian Gomes, Fr. Peter Galadza a liturgist from the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and Fr. John Ramsey of the Coptic Orthodox Church as they discuss the potential establishment of a common date of Easter and the implications for unity among the Christian churches.
