Marie-Anne Séguin and Angela D'Amore, Basilian Lay Associates - Witness Interview

Marie-Anne Séguin, a French-Canadian mother, grand-mother and great-grandmother is a retired elementary school teacher and administrator from Amherstburg, Ontario. With her late husband Ed, they were very active as lay leaders, catechists, youth leaders and volunteers in their parish community of St. Joseph in Rivière au Canard, Ontario. Marie-Anne continues to serve in the Baptismal Preparation Program in her parish community. She is a Basilian Lay Associate.

Angela D'Amore, an Italian-born mother and grandmother has been very active in her parish community of St. John the Baptist in Amhersburg, Ontario for over 60 years. Together with her late husband, Giovanni, they were leaders of the large Italian community in Amherstburg and Windsor, Ontario. Angela has also served on the team for the parish RCIA program, baptismal preparation program, and was one of the founders of the Amherstburg Food Bank, begun in 1986. Angela is a Basilian Lay Associate.
