FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SALT + LIGHT TO HOST TORONTO AND OTTAWA PREMIERE SCREENINGS OF THE DOCUMENTARY FEATURE ACROSS THE DIVIDE

TORONTO, August 8, 2012 – Salt and Light Catholic Media Foundation will host premiere screenings in Toronto and Ottawa of its latest documentary feature, Across the Divide. The film takes viewers to Bethlehem University, depicting the struggles of the students and the religious brothers who administer the school.
As the only Catholic University in the Holy Land, Bethlehem faces a unique set of challenges. Founded following the visit of Pope Paul VI to the Holy Land in 1964, the school is an oasis where both Catholic and Muslim students live and study side by side amidst the turmoil and violence engulfing the region. Shot on location in Israel and the Palestinian Territories, Across the Divideprovides hope amid the divisions that all-too-often define the Holy Land.
The Toronto premiere of Across the Divide will take place on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at St. Michael's College School Centre for the Arts. The evening's event will begin at 6:00pm with a reception, followed by the screening at 7:00pm. Participants at the event include Thomas Cardinal Collins, the Archbishop of Toronto; Carl Hétu, National Director of CNEWA Canada; Kris Dmytrenko, writer and co-director of the film; and Fr. Thomas Rosica, CEO of Salt and Light Catholic Media Foundation.
In Ottawa, the premiere of Across the Divide will take place on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at St. Paul's University. The evening's event will begin at 6:00pm with a reception, followed by the screening at 7:15pm. Participants at the event include Most Rev. Terrence Prendergast, Archbishop of Ottawa; Carl Hétu, National Director of CNEWA Canada; Kris Dmytrenko, writer and co-director of the film; and Fr. Thomas Rosica, CEO of Salt and Light Catholic Media Foundation.
