This past January 23, hundreds of thousands marched in Washington for the 39th annual March for Life. This week, on a special edition of S+L Radio, we celebrate life with some of our best interviews and artists working for life. We’ll hear from David Bereit, founder of the 40 Days for Life Campaign and from street counselor at Aid to Women in Toronto, Julie Abernethy. 93 years ago the Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal. It was on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the beatification of two of these children, Jacinta and Francisco that Pope Benedict XVI made his first Pastoral Visit to Portugal. S+L Vatican Correspondent Alicia Ambrosio joins us for an analysis of that trip and we speak to singer/songwriter/prolife activist David of Catholic Bridge as he prepared for the Annual March for Life in Ottawa.

Thursday May 14th, some 10 thousand people marched through the streets of Ottawa for the 12th annual National March for Life, to mark the passing of the Omnibus Bill from May 14, 1969 which took away restrictions on abortion in Canada, effectively allowing abortion-on-demand. Today on a special edition of S+L Radio, taped live from the Ottawa National March for Life, we remember 40 years of abortion-on-demand in Canada.
