 This past January 23, hundreds of thousands marched in Washington for the 39th annual March for Life. This week, on a special edition of S+L Radio, we celebrate life with some of our best interviews and artists working for life. We’ll hear from David Bereit, founder of the 40 Days for Life Campaign and from street counselor at Aid to Women in Toronto, Julie Abernethy. We also speak with and listen to music from Lorraine Hartsook and David of Catholic Bridge.

Last March for LifeThursday May 13th, over 12 thousand people marched through the streets of Ottawa for the 13th annual National March for Life. 93 years ago the Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal. It was on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the beatification of two of these children, Jacinta and Francisco that Pope Benedict XVI made his first Pastoral Visit to Portugal. S+L Vatican Correspondent Alicia Ambrosio joins us for an analysis of that trip and we speak to singer/songwriter/prolife activist David of Catholic Bridge as he prepared for the Annual March for Life in Ottawa.

March for LifeThursday May 14th, some 10 thousand people marched through the streets of Ottawa for the 12th annual National March for Life, to mark the passing of the Omnibus Bill from May 14, 1969 which took away restrictions on abortion in Canada, effectively allowing abortion-on-demand. Today on a special edition of S+L Radio, taped live from the Ottawa National March for Life, we remember 40 years of abortion-on-demand in Canada.

On May 7th, thousands gathered in Edmonton for the second annual Alberta March for Life as cities across Canada hold their own marches to support the National March in Ottawa – we’ll speak to Lorraine Turchansky, Director of Communications & Public Relations of the Archdiocese of Edmonton and learn about this growing trend and we speak with our featured artist of the week, Sarah Hart.
