For 50 years, the Canadian Catholic Organization for Development and Peace has been in solidarity with worldwide social movements in addressing injustice and creating change. Explore the extraordinary journey of D&P with guests Fr. Bill Ryan, SJ and Anne-Marie Jackson, two long-time members and integral figures in D&P’s 50-year history. Founded by the Canadian Bishops as an independent, lay, grassroots organization in 1967, D&P takes a unique approach to aid: working with partners in the Global South to enable peoples to be the protagonists in their own development. D&P seeks to educate the Canadian population about the causes of poverty and mobilize them towards actions for change. Hosted by Sebastian Gomes.
