In honour of the 50th anniversary of the Second Vatican Council’s Decree on Ecumenism Salt + Light presents Pilgrims Together an evening of prayer, talks, and Christian fellowship. The evening celebrated the official launch of A Church in Dialogue: Towards the Restoration of Unity among Christians, a document released by the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops’ (CCCB) Commission for Christian Unity, Religious Relations with the Jews, and Interfaith Dialogue. Hosted by The Anglican-Roman Catholic Dialogue of Canada (ARC) and The Anglican-Roman Catholic Bishops’ Dialogue of Canada (ARC-B) the event included: The Most Reverend Donald Bolen (ARC) and The Most Reverend Gary Gordon (ARC-B) along with their Anglican colleagues, The Right Reverend Linda Nicholls, Area Bishop of Trent-Durham (ARC), and The Right Reverend Barry B. Clarke, Anglican Bishop of Montreal (ARC-B). The four co-Chairs presided over the ecumenical prayer service. His Eminence, Cardinal Thomas Collins, Archbishop of Toronto together with Archbishop Colin Robert Johnson, Diocese of Toronto, Metropolitan of the Ecclesiastical Province of Ontario provided the final blessing. The evening included lectures by guest speakers, Dr. Michael Attridge from the Faculty of Theology of the University of St. Michael's College, Toronto, and Dr. Alan Hayes of Wycliffe College, Toronto. Dr. Harry McSorley, Professor Emeritus at St. Michael's College provided concluding remarks.
