親愛的弟兄姊妹：

我們剛獲悉，政改方案已被立法會否決。明顯地，投票結果並沒有為社會兩極化畫上句號，傷口不是馬上可以癒合的。然而，大家仍須努力化解兩極化背後的真正因素，促進香港社會的民主、公義與福祉。
作為基督徒，我們並不孤單，因為基督與我們同在、同行。我再次 誠邀大家繼續與我一起，為香港的未來祈禱，懇求天主助佑並降福香港。千萬不要低估祈禱的力量！

Dear brothers and sisters,
May the peace of the Lord be with you!
We have just learnt that the Government’s electoral reform package was voted down by the Legislative Council. It is obvious that this outcome will not put an end to the polarized situation of our society. It will take time for wounds to be healed. Nevertheless, we must spare no effort in addressing the real causes behind this polarized situation, and we must continue to promote democracy, justice and the well-being of the people of Hong Kong.
As Christians, we are not alone, because Christ is always with us and for us. May I again invite you all to join me in prayer for the future of Hong Kong, asking for God’s blessings on her. Never underestimate the power of prayer!
