The St. Peter’s Seminary Foundation is delighted to partner with Salt + Light on Panes of Glory: The Windows of St. Peter's Seminary—a wonderful testament to our faith and our Church. The decision to do so was easy for three main reasons.

First, our Foundation is a key stakeholder within the St. Peter’s Seminary community. We serve as stewards of a national artistic and religious treasure—a 1926 Gothic-style building with its glorious Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas adorned by breathtaking stained glass windows that are at the heart of this series. It is inherent in us to actively support this celebration and preservation of our own history.

Second, what better way to introduce so many people to St. Peter’s, than through the spiritual vision of its chapel windows? They speak to the essence of our Seminary as a place of formation—human, intellectual and spiritual—in which men and women are invited to draw on the Church’s whole magisterium as they prepare for lives of total service. The windows communicate to people, in beautiful and moving ways, why we exist, and engage them in reflection on their own vocations, whatever these may be. Panes of Glory on film and in book form brings this opportunity to everyone who is open to the experience by telling stories of our faith in a highly personal way.

St. Peter's SeminaryThird, Salt + Light brings to this project a level of technical accomplishment in media production that is well respected throughout the broadcasting sector. Perhaps even more importantly, they bring a clear sense of mission to advance the awareness of our faith, which is present in all elements of their organization and within everything they do.  Having as the core mission of our Foundation to advance the Church in Canada and beyond by advancing St. Peter’s Seminary, we share Salt + Light’s intense commitment to evangelization. We are honoured to join Father Thomas Rosica and the entire S+L team to help carry on their urgently needed work on behalf of our Church.
