五旬節日 — 甲年
為在中國的教會祈禱日2026
宗 2:1-11；格前 12:3-7，12-13；若/Jn 20:19-23
五旬節是普世教會慶祝聖神降臨，以祂的不同神恩充滿了一個因害怕被廹害，匿藏著的基督信仰小團體中每一位弟兄姊妹。也因著聖神的推動，他們的內心被振奮，充滿了信心與希望，及見証的智慧。他們毫無保留地為主耶穌的使命，祂被處決後復活過來的事實及救贖的意義，公開地宣講出來。所以，這一天也是教會的誕辰，因為教會的本質就是具使命性的門徒團體。而她的使命就是見証上主藉著聖子對眾生的大愛和救贖的工程！
在五旬節的那一天，聖神像暴風般把門徒從恐懼的瑟縮中搖動起來。祂更以火舌的形狀進入了那個驚慌的團體中。祂降臨的震動打開了眾人焦慮害怕的內在枷鎖，那些火舌熾熱了他們的內心，給了他們嶄新的動力。
所以，我們要信賴無所不在的天主聖神，世上沒有甚麼地方或環境可以不容許祂的臨在，包括那些對神或宗教有著不信任態度的環境。的確，宗教在歷史中，包括現代，有被一些宗教和政治人士利用作圖利、弄權和打壓他人的工具。但也不要走意識形態的路，因為它的排他性會困擾人心，導致分裂迫害。其實意識形態基本上到處都在，特別是當今泛政治和民粹化的年代，從政治、輿論、商業、科技、民生、甚至宗教等等都無一倖免。
但是宗教，包括基督宗教，已證實是可以有重要的正面價值。基督的信仰讓眾人獲得復活得救的平安，聖神的力量和推動，互相體諒和寬恕後的內在自由。更會因著這一切，積極締造公義、幸福、心靈富足，和促進眾生可以更有尊嚴地生活。需要的是政府和宗教人士之間真誠的交流、了解和信任，為了人民的幸福互相尊重合作、締造互信、共議同行。
《中梵的臨時協議》從2018年10月正式開始至現在已經差不多有8年了。這期間已有十四位被正式任命的主教，及兩位地下主教被中國政府和聖座承認為公開教會的輔理主教。可是仍有不少教區等待有主教的任命。也得悉有些教區的範圍在整合中，例如最近的「張家口教區」就是其一。臨時協議的進度未算理想，但可以說在雙方相互了解下的增長，加上一段時間的合作經驗，效率已見有所改善。例如從2018-2023年只有6位主教獲得任命。但從2024-2025年間就已產生10位主教的任命了。
雙方在這協議的框架下仍有很多工作需要做，協議本身也有一定的改善空間。讓我們懷着對歷史主宰的信和望，為雙方的共同努力及善果向真理和合一的聖神懇切祈求。

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth and Unity, and the Truth will set us free. This freedom comes from an authentic understanding of our faith and our acts of forgiveness. The one who fosters authentic understanding and forgives, and the one who opens to authenticity and receives forgiveness, both can enjoy such inner freedom.
So, how can we testify for such truth and its accompanied freedom? No less than through our genuine openness and docility towards the Holy Spirit, plus our forgiveness of one another.
The Holy Spirit can also allow those who are not yet ready to embrace authentic understanding or forgiveness, for whatever reasons known to God alone, to continue with their status quo for another while. It is, therefore, not our call to determine who is the true repentant. The judgment is reserved to God alone.
God knows and understands us. And God’s mercy knows no bound but helps us repent. Let us pray that the Catholic Church in China, as a whole, will endeavor in attaining the authentic understanding of Christian faith, and in driving for Christian communion that brings hope to our people.
Finally, let us also pray for the efforts made by the Holy See and the Chinese Government for the Church in China. That the Holy Spirit will guide them closely along the arduous process of collaboration, for the greater and the common good of the country.
